Allard, Gary | |
The team sniper, Gary kept us in most games until the rest of us found a way to let the other team score more than he did. Very dangerous around the net.
Ball, Kevin | |
We could always count on Kevin to show up at the last minute because of his work release program at CAMI. One of these times he's going to find out what it's like to participate in the warm-ups. Goes hard to the net and comes to play every night.
Bartram, Paul | |
A late season addition who fit in nicely with the rest of the experienced guys on defence.
Borduas, Greg | |
Our team rep and part-time player. A versatile player who can play all positions equally average. When he wasn't trying to carry our team on his back, he tried to carry the other team that way.
Clayton, Mike | |
Mike skates at a different speed than the rest of us. That probably explains why he spent so much time in the other team's end waiting for the rest of us to catch up so he had someone to pass to. Excellent playmaker and stickhandler.
Cook, Jim | |
Sturdy member of a veteran defensive corps. Jim has been in the league long enough now to be playing against the sons of guys who used to be in the league.
Coventry, Brad | |
Brad was fulfilling a lifetime dream to play for the blue and white before an early season injury put this Friday night fixture on the sidelines for the year. See you next year, Brad.
Edge, Paul | |
Cookie's longtime defence partner who knows the number of every forward in the league because he spent most nights looking at their backs as they skated past him.
Franklin, Jeff | |
A great skater, great stickhandler and great disappearing act after Christmas. Where did you go, Jeff?
Jones, Keith | |
A hard working, productive player who throws a mean body check in warm-up. Keith survived a scary mid season eye injury only to come back and claim he saw an improved team. I'm not sure about that, but it was great to see you back as good as new.
Kramer, Andy | |
A veteran Friday night performer who was really in the right place at the right time. Andy is going to campaign to have offsides outlawed over the summer.
Ledgley, Brent | |
A mid-season pick-up, Brent was a great addition to the Leafs. He plays the game like his hair is on fire. Rumour has it that he even made a few friends this year.
Lepik, Tom | |
A slick puck-handling defenceman with a knack for playing 'old time hockey' when he had to. Padded his offensive totals by playing forward a few times.
Moulton, Don | |
Mollie is convinced the net has gotten bigger and the crease has gotten smaller in the lasts few years. Manages to get some part of his equipment in front of most of the shots. Don't worry Mollie, the rest were going in anyway.
Mousseau, Paul | |
Felix. Part-time forward, part-time goalie. This was a confusing year for Moose. He expected the forwards to backcheck when he was in net and expected the goalies to let him score when he played forward. A longtime Habs fan who played for the Leafs and is married to a Red Wings fan. Sounds like an off-season of therapy to me.
Visser, Adrian | |
Work and the urge to snowmobile were too much for Ace this year, so he decided to retire.
