This season was a great year for the Canadiens. The most important decision for us was the unanimous vote to change our name from Canadiens to Team Canada Canadiens.
Anderson, Brad | |
Once in a while a player comes along and carves an important niche in our national game. Brad has done it this year in fine fashion by bringing our league into the information age with his great email updates every week.
Condos, John | |
For those of you who wonder what John's secret is, he's worn the same equipment since he started 20 000 years ago.
Cucinato, Mike | |
Our Italian version of a Russian defenceman. Really moves as long as he's had his smokes and Robaxacet.
Galbraith, Mike | |
Hockey's loss is bowling's gain. I'll put this pin count up against anyone else's in the league. When not running the local bowling alley, Mike was a great go-to guy around the net.
Janssen, Bob | |
Bob, also a rookie this year, quickly found out that the speed and pace of this league can have a disastrous effect on your body. Hope to see you off the injured list next year, Bob
Jones, Dan | |
Rookie of the year for our team, but some of the younger guys wondered how a guy this age could be called a rookie.
Lucier, Dick | |
March, Tim | |
Once Tim finally found out that NBC means No Body Contact and not No Back Checking, goals seemed to come by the wheelbarrow load for him.
McGaffey, Ken (Assistant Team Rep)
Ken's strong-arm tactics at the first of the season kept our team on a solid financial footing. We all know that the way hockey is these days, money equals championships.
McLelland, Bill | |
Bill's season was full of coincidences. One was that his nickname is Jigger and the other was that we started our winning streak while he was away. Hmmm?
Nairn, Dan | |
It's no coincidence that this time of the year - playoff time - is when Dan's true valued to any team really shows. We have only one question for Dan; How do I make my hockey equipment tax deductible?
Riddick, Bill (Team Rep)
Sweep check Bill is a fine defensive asset to any team and always willing to stay in the dressing room after the game to help the guys sort out their problems.
Sutherland, Jody | |
This quiet, no complaining guy could have really put the puck in the net if only he found out earlier in the season that he was missing two inches from the blade of his stick.
Vyse, Pete | |
When interviewed, Pete had only one thing to say about this season; "The refs were picking on me."
Wilson, Tex | |
Tex's bubbly personality is an asset to any team, however his dream to become a professional on the pro snowmobile circuit is clearly having a detrimental effect on his hockey game.
Young, Scott | |
A late season call up due to injury, Scott told us he was going to tell his boss at CAMI that he wouldn't be working anymore Friday nights. How did you make out with that anyway Scott? Scott, where are you?
