Anstee, Jim | |
Jimmy was one of our very creative defencemen. Many a time he was making a great play behind the other team's net. Wait, did I say defenceman?
Arts, Rick | |
Rick is just an all around excellent player and goal scoring machine. He gets more breakaways than anyone on the team. I just don't get how he skates so fast, being pigeon-toed. Ha! Ha! Old joke.
Bonnay, Pat | |
Pat is a great two-way player and is a guy we really missed in the playoff stretch. Rumour has it that he's been abducted by aliens. Watch out for the probes, Pat.
Bruce, Shawn | |
Brucie is one of those goalies that you just say "Wow! How did he stop that?" He needs to grow a playoff beard so he doesn't have to show ID at the bar all the time.
Lee, Scott | |
Scott was one of our players we brought up from the minors. He did a great job and should stay with the big clubs next year. No, Scott we don't have a dental plan.
McDougall, Rob | |
Rob is one of those guys you can put out anywhere on the ice. He's also a great skater and I guess all those figure skating lessons from the wife paid off, eh Rob.
Minler, Ken | |
Ken was another one of our late acquisitions and did a great job chipping in with goals. We just didn't see a lot of him. You'll have to make a few more next year Ken. Twenty-five bucks a game is pretty expensive.
Noble, Larry | |
Larry was the hardest worker on a 90 second shift that I've ever seen. Unfortunately, he left the dressing room as soon as he could. Rumour has it that he's got a job as a male exotic dancer somewhere in London.
Noe, Chris | |
Chris was our grinder this year; never afraid to get in front of the net or muck it up with someone in the corners. Mike Tyson's just lucky he doesn't play Friday night hockey.
Pellow, Karl | |
Karl was another one of our excellent defencemen and many a time took Jim's pass, right on the tape, to score a goal. Wait, did I say defenceman?
Purdy, Wade | |
What can I say? A guy with no slap shot shouldn't get a penalty for it.
Sleegers, Terry | |
Terry was one of our goalies and would stand on his head to stop a shot. The only problem was that he would pull something in the process. Get healthy for next year Terry.
Strickler, Dave | |
Dave was one of our late arrivals and was a great addition. Beware next year, goalies - he's got a wicked wrist shot.
Todd, Mike | |
Mike was our anchor on the blue line and stopped many a speedy forward blazing towards our net. He's also an anchor at the bar with his rookie defence partner.
Watling, Mark | |
Mark's a great player with one of the best shots in the league. Mark's only problem was waiting for the Zamboni to empty the snow so he could get a parking spot.
